CHAMBER
OPPOSES THREE STATEWIDE BALLOT INITIATIVES
The
Chamber has taken official positions opposing
Amendments 60 and 61 and Proposition 101, three
ballot measures which will plunge Colorado even
deeper into recession. The measures directly
eliminate over 70,000 jobs, reduce school funding
by over 1 billion dollars per year, and
dramatically cut transportation funds and funds
for other state services. The Chamber joins with
Coloradans for Responsible Reform, Club 20, and other
organizations to educate voters on the dangers of
these initiatives. For more
information, please visit Coloradans for Responsible Reform's website, donthurtcolorado.com,
and "like" our "Vote
No on 60, 61, and 101" page on Facebook,
or view the article in the Denver
Business Journal. If
you know of an organization that would benefit
from a presentation detailing the effects of these
measures, fill out the speaker request on the
above referenced website or contact rebekah@gjchamber.org.

AMENDMENT
63
Colorado has another ballot
initiative for voter consideration. Amendment
63, also known as Health Care Choice, allows
voters in Colorado to opt out of major
components in the Federal Health Care Reform
adopted by Congress earlier this year. More
specifically, an affirmative vote on this measure
may allow Coloradans not to be mandated into purchasing health
care and permits patients to pay for medical
services directly to the provider. For more information visit:
The
Denver Post or the Denver
Business Journal.
